Merrill FFA Alumni Donkey Basketball Tournament

The Merrill FFA Alumni and Merrill High School FFA Chapters are proud to announce the Inaugural Dairyland Donkey Basketball Tournament on Sunday, October 16, 2011, at Prairie River Middle School. Merrill teachers, Merrill Fire Department, and community and business leader teams will square off on the basketball court to display their skill, athleticism and determination…all while riding a donkey! The tournament will feature two single-elimination games followed by a championship game. Cheer on your local business and community leaders as they vie to be crowned Merrill's First-ever Champion Donkey Ball Team! The fun begins at 1:00p.m., Sunday, October 16, 2011. Free donkey rides will be offered at half time to the first 125 children with a parent. Enjoy the sounds of Merrill's own award winning Blue Jay Pep Band and don't forget to purchase some home-made treats at the bake sale and concession stands. Merrill High School Skills USA will be on site selling the FINAL remaining Tornado Relief T-shirts. Tickets are $6 in advance; and $8 at the door, children 5 and under are free. Advance tickets are available from Merrill FFA and FFA Alumni members and supporting businesses. Proceeds raised from this event will go to benefit the Merrill Tornado Relief Fund and Merrill Agriculture Education program.
