Merrill City Band

Normal Park will come alive at 7 p.m. on Aug. 3 with swing songs and train tunes. Guest Director Michael “Choo-Choo” Chula will be leading the band in the “Swingin’ In The Train” performance. Also conducting a piece will be the winner of the first annual City Band Campaign To Conduct. High school principal Shannon Murray, former Mayor Patsy Woller, or police captain Ken Neff will step to the podium for “Night Train” later in the program. Concert goers are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets. You may also bring in your own refreshments, as long as there are no glass containers. Why not come early and bring a picnic supper or stop and pick something up and one of the nearby restaurants.
