Description:
Spirituality and End-of-Life Care national program offered locally The Hospice Foundation of America’s 18th Annual Living with Grief Program entitled “Spirituality and End-of-Life Care” will be presented on Thursday, May 12 from 12:30 – 4 p.m. at Ministry Good Samaritan Health Center, 601 S. Center Ave., in Merrill. This DVD program will address ways spiritual issues and spiritual coping may emerge throughout an illness, approaches to spiritual assessments, approaches to meaning-making at the end of life, and sensitivities to the particular concerns of major faith systems toward end-of-life care. “We are so excited to bring this national program to Merrill,” stated Gretchen Iverson, social workers for Ministry Home Care. “The topic of spirituality is so important and so broad. It will undoubtedly be a thought-provoking afternoon.” This special event, open to everyone in the community, is sponsored by Ministry Home Care – Hospice Services. Registration is just $10, and must be made no later than May 2, 2011. In addition, a limited number of Living with Grief: Spirituality and End-of-Life Care books will be available for $15 at the conference (cover price is $28.95). A copy may be reserved by including payment with registration. Continuing Education contact hours will be available through HFA for most professionals – call Ministry Home Care at 715-843-9006 for more information. Occurs once: May 12, 2011 (12:30 PM to 4:00 PM)
