Tomahawk man
faces charges for explosion at party
A 20 year old Tomahawk man is in the Lincoln County Jail facing charges after deputies conducted an investigation into an incident that took place on June 2 in the Town of Bradley.
On June 3, deputies were informed that an explosion had occurred at a drinking party on Graff Road north of Tomahawk. After the explosion four people sought treatment at Ministry Sacred Heart Hospital including a 17 year old Tomahawk woman who was flown to the burn center at UW Madison Hospital with severe burns.
Since the incident, deputies conducted numerous interviews of witnesses and victims and determined Ryan M. Pepple arrived at the party with two other males and caused a physical confrontation with at least one person at the gathering. After that incident Pepple retrieved a can of spray paint from his vehicle, placed it in the fire, returned to his vehicle and left at a high rate of speed after it exploded.
After completing his investigation a deputy found Pepple driving in the City of Tomahawk and followed him to his residence on Prospect Ave. After being told he was under arrest a search was conducted of Pepple and the deputy found a baggie or marijuana.
Pepple had a bond hearing on Monday in Lincoln County Court. He is charged with 2nd degree reckless endangering safety, child abuse-recklessly cause harm, disorderly conduct and possession of marijuana.
