Man arrested, search warrant served
On Aug. 9, at approximately 2:02 p.m., the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office Dispatch Center received a 911 hang-up from a residence in the City of Merrill.
Merrill Police Department officers responded to the residence. Attempts were made to contact personal in the residence to no avail. Officers entered the residence and as a result a 26 year old Merrill man, Alvis Winters, was taken into custody on a warrant through Wisconsin Department of Corrections.
Lincoln County Sheriff's Office assisted with the disturbance and pending investigation which resulted in a search warrant being served. This case is still under investigation with possible pending charges.
