A 54 year old Rhinelander woman is in the Lincoln County Jail after a cell 911 call reported a possible impaired driver Saturday afternoon. At 3:50 p.m. a cell caller reported a vehicle traveling on County Rd A near State Rd 17 that was all over the roadway. A deputy found the vehicle traveling on County Rd A in the Town of Harrison and stopped it after it drove into a driveway on Mud Lake Rd. Pamela J. Devine told the deputy she lived at the residence but later the homeowner related he did not know Devine. Devine was placed through field sobriety tests and as a result was taken into custody on a third offense charge of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated. While Devine was being arrested she physically resisted resulting in an additional charge of resisting arrest. A resident of the Town of Harrison phoned the Sheriff's Office a short time later and reported Devin was in the area because she had come to his home, which is a violation of a restraining order issued against her. Devine was booked into the Lincoln County Jail on the OWI and resisting charge along with a misdemeanor count of violating a restraining order. Unable to post bond she had a bond hearing on Monday afternoon.
Two Merrill residents were taken into custody after deputies responded to a 911 call early Sunday morning in the Town of Scott. Just after 2 a.m. a woman called 911 to report the passenger in her vehicle caused it to lose control and slide off into the ditch on Golf Drive. When deputies arrived on the scene 24 year old Ashley L. Buhse told deputies she was driving down the roadway when 26 year old Justice J. Latzig-Gresens activated the vehicle's emergency brake on the fog covered roadway causing her to lose control and go off the roadway. Buhse was placed through field sobriety tests and taken into custody on a first offense charge of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated. Latzig-Gresens was arrested on a felony charge of reckless endangering safety. He remained in the Lincoln County Jail awaiting a Monday bond hearing.
