Our Savior’s Good Neighbor Merrill Relay for Life Team recently received $265 from Thrivent Financial for Lutherans for the American Cancer Society. 
The funding was made possible through volunteers using Thrivent Financial’s Care Abounds in Communities program. The event raised a total of $1,599.50, with Thrivent Financial contributing $265 in supplemental funds.  Thrivent Financial’s Care Abounds in Communities program provides financial support for volunteer projects and fund-raising activities benefiting individuals, families and qualified nonprofit organizations.
“Care Abounds in Communities allows Thrivent Financial members and other interested volunteers to join in service and use the financial resources of Thrivent Financial to serve people and organizations here in our local area,” said Bill Smith, Financial Associate with the Mid Wisconsin Chapter, Thrivent Financial’s member volunteer group serving those in Taylor, Lincoln and Langlade County area.  “Thrivent chapter activities like this one connect congregations, institutions and volunteers to make a difference in people’s lives.”
