Summer Fun for all ages continues at T. B. Scott Library. Upcoming events include:
Monday, July 6, 9:30-10 a.m., Miss Andrea will lead a storytime, "All about Animals," in the community room, with stories, songs and movement activities geared to preschoolers, but open to children and adults of all ages.
Monday, July 6, 9:30-10:30 a.m., "Read to a Dog" provides an opportunity for children to read aloud on a first-come-first-served basis to Kris Smith's golden retriever, Kirbie, in the storyhour room.
Wednesday, July 8, 10 a.m., Stuart Stotts will present an entertaining program of songs and stories, with lots of audience participation, laughter, and movement, at Prairie River Middle School, sponsored by Wisconsin Valley Library Service.
Thursday, July 9, noon-1:15 p.m., Lunch Bunch for grades 4 to 6 will meet in the community room and "Be Creative with Music," with a Name that Tune game and other music themed activities. Pre-registration is encouraged.
Registration is open for a teen interactive mystery program, "A Murderous Melodrama," on Wednesday, July 15, 1-3 p.m. This event is for youth going into grades 7 to 12.
Registration is also open for the Preschool Peanut Butter Picnic to be held Monday, July 20, 11 a.m., on the library lawn for children age 2 to 5 and their guests. A program by Joni Hahn will be followed by a picnic, with bag lunches provided by Waves Full Service Hair Salon.
Area residents are reminded that children, teens and accompanying adults may ride free to summer library events on the Merrill-Go-Round.
