A sampling of sweets sublime await guests at the Merrill Historical Society’s third annual evening of decadent desserts, fine coffee and tea. It’s called "Sweet Escapes" and you are invited to indulge in a slice or a sliver of blissfully delicious homemade desserts. The date, just five days before Valentine’s Day, is Tuesday, Feb. 9 at 6:30 p.m. in the Community Room of T. B. Scott Library.
Complementing the elegant desserts will be the sweet strains of harp and violin music performed by Carol and Dave Finanger. The complete the evening, a presentation will be given by Marie Raudwer who will share her memories of chocolate making at Merrill Candy Company. If only every day could end so delectably.
Advance tickets for Sweet Escapes are necessary. They are available at the cost of $8 at the Merrill Historical Society Office, 102 E. Third St., Tuesday through Friday from 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
