Waves celebrates 10 years in business
Waves Full Service Hair Salon & Spa is celebrating 10 years in business. Aimee Knospe opened Waves at the age of 25 with dreams of joining and being part of the Merrill community. Aimee wanted to bring a design team capable of the most creative looks.
"We strive to stay educated with the latest color formulas, cutting edge haircuts, and trendiest style from hair to nails," Knospe said. "We provide a full service salon and spa for the entire family to enjoy
I was very blessed to start out with four stylists, one nail tech and one receptionist. To be even more blessed to grow with two massage therapists.
Mary Smith who has been with Waves for 10 years, but has over 30 years of hair design experience. Stylist Alliesion Barden started with Waves seven years ago. Stylist Breyanna Dekkar has just started with Waves on Crazy Days and has been doing hair for two and a half years. Nail tech Heather Oemig has been with Waves for 10 years. Massage therapist Hillary Schultz has been with Waves for five years and has nine years of experience. Massage therapist Shannon Butler has just joined the Waves team. The voice on the other end of the phone line is our receptionist Judy Erno.
"I would like to thank the team at Waves for being the best that they are and working so well as a team," Knospe said. "To my family and friends for giving me the push and strength to create a business that I am so proud of. To my clients that I think of as friends a big thank you. To my husband for loving me and my dreams, I am truly blessed.
"I am very proud of our small community and very lucky to be able to work with other Merrill businesses to help keep it local," she added. "Again, thank you for 10 years, and remember to relax, rejuvenate and be inspired, all at Waves."
Waves is seeking two licensed hair stylists, part- or full-time chair rental. To apply, call 715-921-6341.
