Presence of Balance Massage opens at Riverside Athletic Club
After losing her job after more than 16 at a local manufacturing facility, Kathy Gruett went back to school. She attended Globe University in Wausau in 2010-11 and earned her associates degree in massage therapy.
She had actually graduated with a degree in massage therapy in 1999, but did not take her certification test at that time.
Now state and nationally certified as a massage therapist, Kathy opened Presence of Balance Massage at Riverside Athletic Club in Merrill in June. She offers a full range of massage services, including Swedish, hot stone and deep tissue.
As part of her education, Kathy did an externship at Day Spring Health Spa in Wausau, and continues to work there as well.
Kathy is open at her Riverside Athletic Club location on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 7:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.; and on Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Presence of Balance Massage can be reached at 715-218-7476.
