Nicole Williams Agency moves to Merrill

Nicole Williams has moved her Farmers Insurance agency to Merrill to better serve her customer base and be part of her hometown community. Williams, a 2001 Merrill High School graduate, moved back to Merrill in 2011 after graduating college. She had previously served eight years with the U.S. Army.

When Nicole came back to Merrill she initially set up her Farmers Insurance office on Wausau's north side. After a year and a half in Wausau she decided to move her office closer to home and recently opened at 720 E. Second St.

Nicole estimates that about 75 percent of her clients are in the Merrill area. Networking is important in the insurance business, she said, and she's been active at community events in Merrill since starting her agency.

"Most of my clients are in Merrill," she said. "I live in Merrill and I'm trying to be more a part of the community. It makes it easier if my office is located in Merrill."

The building had previously been an insurance office. Nicole added a fresh coat of paint and made a few other minor upgrades before opening for business.

Nicole enjoys her work as an insurance agent.

"I think my number one favorite thing is meeting with people and helping them reach their future goals, helping families be protected and grow," she said.

Farmers Insurance Group is focused on auto, home, life and commercial business insurance. The Nicole Williams Agency also offers some investment products. Nicole said she's proud to represent Farmers Insurance.

"I'm just happy to be able to work for Farmers, they've taken care of all my clients very well," she said. "It makes my job easier when the customers are satisfied with the company and my agency."

The Nicole Williams Agency is currently a one-person operation, but Nicole is hoping to add a receptionist in the future.
