New store to offer healthy products in Merrill
Jennifer Mattson believes strongly in the old adage, "You are what you eat." That's the driving principle behind her new organic and natural foods business, To Your Health Market, soon to open at 129 N. Prospect St. (the old Merrill Monument building) on Merrill's west side.
"I believe people should eat better," she said. "Merrill is lacking in organic foods. I'm hoping there's a demand for it. I'm into healthy products and I think others should be, too."
To Your Health Market will offer organic fruits and vegetables, fresh organic bakery, organic dairy, gluten free products, natural health and beauty products, organic pet food, and gluten free and organic beer and wine.
Mattson is very picky about what merchandise she will handle in her store, researching items to ensure only the healthiest products are offered. She has even consulted with health professionals on the requirements of a healthy diet.
"I read the labels so you don't have to," she said.
To Your Health Market will be open Monday through Friday 8 a.m.-6 p.m. and Saturdays 8 a.m.-1 p.m.
