Mustard Seed on the move
A new year often brings changes and for Theresa Jaco, owner of the Mustard Seed Natural Health store and her customers this will definitely be true. After nearly 40 years of operating at their current First Street residence the Mustard Seed is relocating into the lower level of Johnson's Gifts and Home Dècor. Feb. 1 will be the launch date for this new adventure. The new location at 1023 E. Main St. in Merrill also houses the Hometown Pharmacy and sits in the heart of Merrill's downtown businesses.
"Our motto, 'Smart Remedies for Your Health Needs,' our hometown roots, friendly customer service and 8 years of experience in the fast growing natural health industry are all moving with us," Jaco said. "We will continue to offer our affordable line of supplements, our growing inventory of dietary specialties and the herbs and spices that have become a Merrill favorite."
The immediate changes will include a cleaner modern look, extended operating hours, a better parking situation with a large lot in back that is accessible off River Street, and a comfortable handicap entry.
The Mustard Seed is looking forward to making additions after getting settled, including ethnic and gourmet products and loose leaf teas.
"I am very excited about becoming part of the Merrill downtown atmosphere," Jaco said. "There is always something going on at Johnson's Gifts and Home Dècor, whether it is for a worthy cause, an educational purpose or just for fun, it will be great to become a part of those celebrations."
