Tuesday evening at approximately 9:51 p.m., a Lincoln County Sheriff’s deputy was conducting a security check on a Tomahawk area business, when he located a suspicious vehicle parked in the dark, with three subjects inside.
Prior to making contact with the subjects, the vehicle fled the business at a high rate of speed, traveling southbound on Cty. A in the town of Bradley. Unaware of what was going on, the deputy pursued the vehicle. The chase continued northbound on Cty. U and then westbound on Hwy. 8; extending 31 miles at speeds near 111 mph.
The chase was brought to a safe conclusion when deputies from the Price County Sheriff’s Office successfully deployed deflation devices and brought the car to a stop. Once the vehicle was stopped, deputies located marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Two 17-year-old males and one 16-year-old male, all of Tomahawk, were taken into custody. All three are facing criminal charges.
Deputies from the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office, Price County Sheriff’s Office and the Tomahawk Police Department assisted with the chase.
