Members from the Mid WI Chapter of Thrivent Financial have committed to $18,000 in matching funds to help develop the River Bend Trail.
This was accomplished through a joint effort with Thrivent Merrill Financial Associates, Bill Smith, Dan Schneider, and Kevin Maloney, along with the Mid Wisconsin Chapter of Thrivent Financial, and Gene Bebel, President of the River District Development Foundation, and Board of Director Members, Mike Willman and Sharon Anderson. Money has been designated for matching funds from the Lumberjack RC&D Conservation & Development Council, Inc. for the River Bend Trail.
Through its chapter programs, Thrivent Financial members come together in service to help their communities and congregations. Members are able to use Thrivent Financial dollars to add to the funds raised at an activity or to purchase materials for service projects, while energizing other members and volunteers to provide help that otherwise would not be available.
“This project is just one example of the real difference we’re making in people’s lives,” said Kevin Kamps, Chapter president of the Mid WI Chapter of Thrivent Financial.
All Thrivent Financial members belong to a local organization—most often a chapter—that provides a way for them to give back to their communities, congregations and causes they care about through charitable activities, as well as connect with one another for social and educational events.
