T. B. Scott Free Library invites adults and teens to bring children to the library any time during open hours to read together on March 1 or 2. After reading, register at the youth services desk to receive a free book and book bag for each child.
Now in its 17th year, the National Education Association's Read Across America is an annual reading motivation and awareness movement asking every child in every community to celebrate reading in honor of the birthday of beloved children's author Dr. Seuss.
Lego and Duplo challenges will be available during the weekend for a fun, hands-on activity to enhance the reading celebration.
T. B. Scott Library is open 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturday and 12-4 p.m. on Sunday.
