A 38-year-old Tomahawk man was arrested early Friday morning on a warrant charge. Deputies went to a home in the 6000 block of State Rd. 107 just before 3 a.m. on a welfare check. In checking one of the residents at the home they discovered he was wanted by the Merrill Police Department for contempt of court. The man was brought to the Lincoln County Jail where he was held.  
Deputies along with Tomahawk EMS, Tomahawk Fire Department and the Wisconsin State Patrol all responded to a motor vehicle crash with injury on Friday afternoon in the Town of Bradley north of Tomahawk. A 911 call reported the crash at US Hwy. 8 and Robert’s Rd. EMS checked both driver’s at the scene but they refused to be medically transported. The Wisconsin State Patrol is handling the crash report and no other information was available. There were no injuries, but deputies are searching for a hit and run driver after a crash early Saturday morning in the Town of Merrill. At 3:30 a.m., the victim was traveling east on Hillside Drive just west of County Rd. K when a small silver passenger car sideswiped her dark blue Dodge Avenger causing moderate damage. The suspect vehicle continued heading west and may have gone south on Lake Pesobic Rd. The suspect vehicle should have serious driver’s side damage and may have blue paint transfer. A 24-year-old Merrill woman was arrested Saturday evening on criminal charges after a deputy, with the assistance of Merrill Police Officers, responded to a disturbance in the Town of Merrill. Just after 7 p.m., a cell 911 call reported the incident in the 4000 block of Pope Rd. When deputies arrived, they discovered the suspect had slapped the victim and then pushed him down and repeatedly struck him in the head and face. The woman was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct and battery. She was transported to the Lincoln County Jail where she remained, awaiting a bond hearing on Monday. 
A 31-year-old Merrill man was arrested Sunday afternoon on a probation violation charge after deputies responded to a disturbance in the Town of Merrill. At 12:40 p.m., a neighbor reported a fight going on in the 4000 block of Key Largo Drive. Deputies learned the couple had been fighting for most of the weekend and in the process clothing might have been damaged when it was thrown out into the driveway. The 31-year-old was brought to the Lincoln County Jail and held on the probation hold.  
The number of car deer crashes are holding steady with previous weeks numbers with five being reported this past week.
