Park City Cares Initiative encourages others to ‘Share the Care’

Coming off the heels of the Share the Care Relay, Park City Credit Union is seeking to reward five individuals with $100 who “pay it forward” in the Northwoods Area. Members who post their good works on Facebook with the hashtag #SharetheCare will be entered to win one of five $100 cash prizes.

Park City Cares is the credit union’s random acts of kindness initiative. In 2017, Park City performed 150 random acts of kindness, and the credit union is well on its way to break its own record. The recent Share the Care Relay involved employees in Merrill, Tomahawk, Minocqua and Rhinelander challenging each other’s offices to make a difference.

Over the course of three days, the employees made special visits to Merrill City Hall, HAVEN, Lincoln County Humane Society, After the Bell, Our Sisters House, Kinship of Tomahawk, the Minocqua Farmers Market and the Oneida County Humane Society. Single acts of kindness by credit union employees continue to be performed each week as the credit union celebrates 80 years with 80 Days of Celebration.

“We’re not slowing down, and we hope our actions will inspire others in our community to share the care,” said Park City CEO Val Mindak. “Our community is made up of so many wonderful people, and we all look forward to seeing great ideas spread across the Northwoods Area.”
