Motorcycle crash near Tomahawk

A 42-year-old Gurnee, IL man was seriously injured Thursday afternoon after a motorcycle crash in the Town of Bradley north of Tomahawk. A cell 911 call reported the crash on County Rd. A at Muskellunge Lake Road at 3:09 p.m.

According to the deputy’s report, a 38-year-old man from St. Francis, WI was traveling north on County Rd. A when he slowed and signaled to turn east onto Muskellunge Lake Road. The Gurnee man, who was in the same group; apparently did not see the cycle slowing and struck it from the rear causing him to be ejected onto the roadway.

The 42-year-old was transported by Tomahawk EMS to Ascension Sacred Heart Hospital. From there he was flown to the trauma center at Aspirus Wausau Hospital by Spirit II. The operator was not wearing a helmet, alcohol was not a factor. The first driver was not injured.

The Wisconsin State Patrol and Tomahawk Fire Department assisted at the scene.
