Merrill’s Russell Dettmering currently sits at the top of the Division 1 leaderboard in the second round of the state golf meet.
Dettering carded a 70 on Monday, tying him for second place overall and trailing the Day-1 leader, Arrowhead’s Piercen Hunt, by just one stroke.
Division 1 golfers teed off at noon today for Round 2 at University Ridge Golf Course in Verona. Through seven holes, Dettmering has picked up a stroke on Hunt to go to three under for the tournament and tie Hunt for the lead.
