Last week the Bluejay Boys varsity track team pulled off a dominating season-opening performance in their annual indoor invitational, placing first in the five-team field with 128 points. MHS Senior Adam Laehn proved to be a key factor for the guys; accounting for 24 of those points with first-place finishes in the 50 meter dash (6.20 seconds); 200 meter dash (25.60 seconds) and the Long Jump (20 feet, nine inches).
Aside from sports, Adam is a three-year member of the MHS FFA (Future Farmers of America) club and a 2-year member of the MHS Earth Club. In his free-time, Adam enjoys spending time with family and friends in the outdoors, hunting and fishing.
Son of Sandy and Dave Laehn of Merrill, Adam currently maintains a 3.85 GPA. Following graduation this spring, Adam plans to attend UW-Stevens Point as a Soil Science major.
