Merrill Police reports

March 26
10:10 p.m.- Officers responded to a suspicious vehicle. The caller stated a male in the vehicle had been acting suspicious in the restaurant and was continuing to hang around in the parking lot. Officers made contact with the vehicle and four occupants. A K9 was deployed on the vehicle and made a positive alert. A search of the occupants and the vehicle revealed numerous items of drug paraphernalia and marijuana. One female was arrested for possession of THC and bail jumping. One male was arrested on a probation violation and another male was arrested for felony possession of THC and bail jumping.

March 27
3 p.m.- Officers responded to the Probation and Parole office to take a female into custody on a probation violation.

March 28
1:24 p.m.- Officers were requested by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections Probation and Parole to respond to their office and take a male subject into custody on a probation hold. The male subject was taken into custody and transported to the jail.
5:01 p.m.- An Investigator from the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office observed a male subject walking in the 100 block of West First Street that had an active warrant for their arrest through the Wisconsin Department of Corrections. An officer located the male subject and he was taken into custody on the warrant and transported to the jail.

March 29
8:06 p.m.- A caller reported his children had found a backpack full of items in a wooded area. Among the contents was paperwork identifying the owner. Officers were unsuccessful in making contact with him. The backpack will be kept at the PD for safekeeping.
