Merrill Police reports

March 23
9:23 a.m.- A male called the PD to report a domestic dispute between himself and his fiancé on March 12 in which he was struck by her. He reported the incident to Wausau PD. As the incident occurred in Merrill an officer will be investigating the allegations.
10:13 a.m.- A male was arrested for a probation violation at the request of Probation & Parole.
3:48 p.m.- A female was arrested for a probation violation at the request of Probation & Parole.

March 24
11:57 a.m.- A caller reported sometime overnight a vehicle left the roadway and struck her mail box destroying it.

March 25
2:04 a.m.- An officer stopped a vehicle as the registered owner did not have a valid driver’s license. The officer requested a K9 conduct a drug sniff of the vehicle. K9 Eros located a small amount of marijuana the driver had thrown out of the window into the boulevard. The driver was cited for possession of THC and operating without a valid license.
7:24 p.m.- An officer made contact with a driver after it pulled into a store parking lot. The officer had observed the vehicle weaving within its lane as it travelled on the roadway. The officer observed indicators of possible intoxication. The driver refused to identify himself and refused to exit the vehicle after being ordered to. The officer physically removed the driver from his vehicle and he was arrested for resisting an officer. He was transported to the PD and requested to perform field sobriety tests. He refused to participate in any tests and was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated (2nd offense).
10:09 p.m.- A caller reported a crash on W. Main Street at Genessee Street. It was found a driver had been operating the wrong way on the one-way portion of N. Genessee Street and drove out onto W. Main Street being struck by a vehicle on W. Main Street. A crash report was completed. The offending driver was cited for operating the wrong way on a one-way street and operating without insurance.
