Last weekend marked an end to a solid season for the Bluejay Girls Basketball team, of which each member left their mark in some fashion. Along with stepping up as one of the team’s top rebounders this season, perhaps the biggest night of senior Molly Weix’s varsity career came on Jan. 26 with a game winning free throw over Wausau-West.
Although her Bluejay basketball tenure is over, in just a couple weeks Molly will return to the softball field for her third varsity season and this past fall she completed her third varsity run on the Bluejay volleyball court.
Aside from sports, Molly keeps very busy as an active member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church as well as a second-year member of the MHS Link Crew, Boys and Girls Club and the MHS German Club, Friends Club and a four-year member of the MHS Student Council.
Daughter of Mark and Debbie Weix of Merrill, Molly currently maintains a 3.5 GPA.
Following graduation this spring, Molly plans to attend UW-Oshkosh as a Nursing major.
