Lincoln County Board candidate forum slated

The League of Women Voters of the North Woods is, again, sponsoring a public forum for Lincoln County residents and candidates for Lincoln County Board on March 13 at 6:30 p.m. at the Buedingen Training Center, W6147 State Hwy. 86, Tomahawk. The public is invited to arrive at 6 p.m. to prepare written questions for the candidates. All candidates for the 22 seats of the Lincoln County Board, who have filed the necessary paperwork, have been invited to attend, to speak and to answer questions from the public. The forum will be moderated by Ben Meyer, Newswatch 12, WJFW-TV, and facilitated by the League of Women Voters of the Northwoods.

This event is a great opportunity for voters and candidates to meet, ask questions and share views. During the forum, each candidate will be asked to make a brief ninety second introduction to include who they are, why they are running for the County Board, what background they bring to help the County Board, and what they believe to be the most important issue in the County today. After opening statements, audience questions will be selected by the moderator, for discussion.
