City Council seat on today’s primary ballot

Polls are open until 8 p.m. tonight, as Wisconsin voters will take to the polls to narrow the field for a state Supreme Court Justice seat. Candidates are Rebecca Dallett, Michael Screnock and Tim Burns.

Locally, only voters in Merrill’s 4th Aldermanic District will have an additional choice to make. Incumbent alderperson Kandy Peterson, who has held the seat since 2010, is facing two challengers. Ron McAllister and Steve Osness are vying for the position on the Merrill Common Council. The primary will pare the field to two candidates for the April 3 general election.
