Riverside Athletic Club is pleased to announce they are offering two new classes in February that is sure to get people motivated and help them along their fitness journey.
“We are trying something new here at Riverside,” Says manager Becci Simon. “We are going to offer Boot Camps as well as classes called Lift and Hiit. Each class will be geared toward different things depending on what someone is looking for. Individuals can sign up for one or both of the classes and they run one month long.”
On Monday and Thursdays nights at 5:15-6 p.m. from Feb. 1-Feb. 22 they will be offering a Core Boot Camp that will use stability balls, medicine balls, and your own body to strengthen core muscles. Extending beyond your abdominals, core muscles include everything other than your arms and legs. Sheila Winter will be leading this Boot Camp and will get the participants moving and working on their core all while scaling the exercises to meet the individual needs and capabilities.
On Tuesday and Thursday nights from 6-7 p.m., Feb. 6-Feb. 27, trainers Matt and Cassie will offer a LIFT and HIIT class. HIIT stands for “High Intensity Interval Training” and will focus on various lifting techniques such as deadlifts, snatches, cleans and more and end with a HIIT session that will get your heart pumping with short bursts of High Intensity Activities. The great thing about this class is that it can be scaled as well to meet the needs of the participants. The Core Boot Camp or the Lift and HIIT costs only $29 for RAC members and $49 for NonRAC members if you sign up before one week before the start of each camp by Friday, Feb. 2.
