Merrill Chamber Spotlight on Business: Hugo’s Pizza

The Merrill Area Chamber of Commerce Spotlight on Business for the month of January is Hugo’s Pizza located at 1213 E. Main St. in downtown Merrill. Hugo’s Pizza is owned by Colleen Bostrom and they are celebrating their 25th year in business.
The original Hugo’s was opened in Ashland in 1974 by Frank and Joyce Ledin, Colleen’s parents. Hugo’s was named after Frank’s father. In 1993 Colleen moved to Merrill and opened the second Hugo’s in its current location.
Hugo’s is known for its unique flavors, dedication to the community and they pride themselves on being a locally owned and family operated business in the heart of Merrill. Hugo’s loves Merrill – the city and the people – and Colleen and her crew do everything they can to support the community, events and projects.
Their flavorful menu includes pizza 7 inches to 16 inches with many toppings to choose, including BBQ Chicken and Taco. They also have lasagna, chicken wings and meatball subs. They offer Take-n-Bake pizza, Party and Family Pak’s, catering, gift certificates and fundraising opportunities. They also have many specials like small meals for kids and seniors, birthday parties, a pizza club, and dinner specials for two. Make a reservation or just pop-in!
Colleen and her staff will do everything possible to make your visit cozy and yummy. You will soon become a regular!
Hugo’s also does catering during the day for all your business luncheon needs. Just call Colleen a few days ahead of time to set it up.
“Hugo’s Pizza is a great example of locally owned, made from scratch comfort foods,” stated Debbe Kinsey, Merrill Chamber CEO. “Colleen quietly supports many community projects through her fundraising program, doing what she does best – food.”
