Jumpstart your kitchen at library’s Cookbook Exchange

Are the winter doldrums creeping into your kitchen? Do some of your cookbooks need a new home? Give your recipe list a jumpstart at T.B. Scott Free Library’s Cookbook Exchange.

As part of Merrill’s WinterFest celebration, T.B. Scott Free Library will host their fifth annual Cookbook Exchange from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Jan. 27, in the library’s gazebo area near the main entrance.

The Cookbook Exchange gives you an opportunity to get new recipe and cookery ideas by trading in cookbooks you no longer need for replacements.

Bring as many cookbooks as you want. When you arrive at the Cookbook Exchange, you can take as many cookbooks as you’ve brought in. Browse among the library’s swapping selection, comprised of cookbooks brought in like yours, donated cookbooks, and cookbooks withdrawn from the library’s collection. They’ll all be displayed in the gazebo area so you can browse comfortably for some winter cooking inspiration.

All cookbooks remaining after the Cookbook Exchange will go to the Friends of T.B. Scott Library for their book sales, so watch for Friends book sale news if you want to keep on shopping.
