Library offers Pete the Cat Party and Milwaukee Bucks Reading Challenge

The monthly Family Fun Night at T.B. Scott Library resumes Thursday, Jan. 18, at 6 p.m. This month’s Fun Night features a Pete the Cat themed party. Enjoy stories about everyone’s favorite feline, Pete, along with games, crafts and a treat.

Family Fun Night programming offers families with working parents an opportunity to attend library programs after the work day. There will be a variety of program offerings once again this spring such as a train themed party in February and then join us for The Magic of Isaiah in March.

“We will stagger the dates of the programming to accommodate different schedules,” said Youth Services Head, Carolyn Forde. “And although we are targeting families with working parents, we invite all families to join in the fun.”

The Milwaukee Bucks Reading Challenge for youth in grades 1–8 has begun. Youth who sign up for the program and read 250 pages by Feb. 5 are eligible for a complimentary ticket to one of three select Bucks games with family receiving preferred ticket pricing. Readers who read 500 pages will have their names entered into a drawing for an official Milwaukee Bucks autographed basketball.
