Church Mutual Insurance Company employees raised nearly $10,000 for numerous causes during special one-day fundraisers held from March through October.
They raised $3,000 in March for JoJo’s Jungle, a playground at Brockmeyer Park in Wausau for children of all abilities.
In May, employees raised $1,480 for the Merrill Summer Lunch program. It offered to the hungry a free healthy lunch on weekdays during the summer. The program is sponsored by five Merrill churches.
Employees raised $1,347 for the Humane Society of Lincoln County and $1,395 for Merrill Area Junior Achievement in June.
They were back at it in August, raising $1,230 for the Out of the Darkness Walk for suicide prevention.
And in October, employees raised $1,539 for the Raptor Education Group in Antigo. The raptor group is dedicated to the care and rehabilitation of injured or orphaned native bird species.
