Church hosts Mission Store

Christ United Methodist Church, Third and Mill streets, Merrill, will be hosting their 15th annual Mission Store from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 5, in the Community Room adjacent to the parking lot.

The sale will include Fair Traded crafts and food items from SERRV and Ten Thousand Villages, both clearing houses which work on behalf of artisans in 36 Third World countries. They assist in product design, marketing and business development. Their goal is to enable people in these poverty areas to rebuild their lives and forge a long term sustainable life for themselves and their families.

Holiday decorations, over 30 different nativity sets, home décor, hand carved items, jewelry, scarves, purses, baskets galore, coffee, soups and toys are just some of the items available at reasonable prices. All items are “Fair Traded.” Come shop with joy and purpose. Proceeds are returned to the artisans thereby providing income, dignity and hope to these struggling people.

Please invite your neighbors and friends to join us for this traditional holiday shopping event.
