Friday evening, the city’s west side was treated to the deep, soulful sound of local duo Nevermind; courtesy of DAT Bar and owners Dennis and Traci Fick.
Consisting of 13-year old vocalist Eleanor Knippel and guitarist Eric Geiss, the duo is relatively new to the local music scene. First pairing up this past Spring, the Folk Rock pair began making live appearances this summer. In addition to performing at the Elbow Room in Stevens Point, Friday night was their second appearance at DAT Bar and fourth overall.
According to Eleanor’s mother Jen Brilowski, she has had no formal vocal training,
“She’s been singing since birth,” she jokes with a smile.
“She has always loved to sing, she and Eric are a good fit.”
