Merrill Police reports

October 2
1:42 p.m.- A crash was reported on E. Main St. at Cooper St. A driver had rear-ended a dump truck ahead of her. The driver was cited for inattentive driving and a crash report was completed.
4:03 p.m.- A male was arrested for a probation violation at the request of Probation & Parole.
4:26 p.m.- A caller reported receiving harassing text messages from an ex-boyfriend. This was found to be in violation of a court order that he is not to have any contact with the caller. Contact was made with the suspect who denied the allegations. He was found to have been consuming intoxicating beverages in violation of that same court order. He was arrested for bail jumping.
4:45 p.m.- A male was arrested for a probation violation at the request of Probation & Parole.

October 3
6:13 a.m.- An officer received information of an intoxicated driver that had left Wausau and was heading to Merrill. An officer went to the address of the registered owner and the officer observed the vehicle pull up to the residence. Contact was made with the driver who displayed signs of intoxication. The driver was placed through field sobriety tests and failed. The male driver was arrested for operating while intoxicated.

October 4
3:31 a.m.- Officers were dispatched to a physical altercation in the 700 block of Woodbine Ave. One of the people involved was on probation and was later arrested on a hold placed by probation and parole.

October 5
8:28 a.m.- Officers were requested to the 1000 block of East First Street to take a male subject into custody for a probation violation. The male subject was taken into custody and transported to the jail.
2:39 p.m.- Officers were requested to the 1000 block of East First Street to take a female subject into custody for a probation violation. The female subject was taken into custody and transported to the jail.
3:11 p.m.- An officer conducted a traffic stop after he observed a male subject that was found to have an active warrant for his arrest. The male subject was taken into custody and transported to the jail.
6:18 p.m.- An officer responded to a residence and took a report of a theft of an electronic device.
7:02 p.m.- An officer responded to a business on East Main Street that had located graffiti that had been painted on the wall of the business. The investigation is ongoing.
