A 22-year-old Merrill man was arrested early Thursday morning following a traffic stop. A The Merrill Police K9 Eros indicated drugs were in the vehicle and a drug pipe was later found.
Deputies went to a gas station in the Town of Bradley just after 6 a.m. to check on a suspicious person. A 22-year-old Harshaw man was arrested early Friday morning on a warrant charge for contempt of court issued by Oneida County.

A 55-year-old Gleason man was arrested Friday evening on a criminal traffic charge. A deputy stopped to check on the vehicle the man was driving after finding it stopped on Prairie Forks Road. The man was taken into custody for a second offense of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated. He was also cited for driving with a revoked driver’s license.

Tomahawk and Nokomis firefighters along with deputies all responded to a report of a structure fire early Sunday morning in the Town of Bradley. At 3:15 a.m., a cell 911 call reported a fire on Rapel Road. When deputies arrived they found the rear of the home engulfed in flames which spread to the front of the structure. The home was a total loss, no injuries were reported.

The number of deer crashes remains high with a dozen being reported this past week. A passenger in one of the vehicles involved in an animal crash was also arrested. The man was a passenger in a vehicle that struck a deer on County Rd. D at Old D Road in the Town of King Wednesday evening. When a deputy ran a check it was found he was wanted by the Oneida County Sheriff for contempt of court.
