A 39-year-old Merrill man was arrested in the Town of Schley Tuesday afternoon on a warrant charge of failure to pay child support.
A 38-year-old Merrill man was arrested late Wednesday night on numerous charges after deputies responded to a report of a vehicle in the ditch in the Town of Corning. Just before 11 p.m. a caller reported the vehicle at County Rd. MM at Cranberry Trail. The man was taken into custody for a third offense of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, threatening a law enforcement officer, resisting an officer and criminal damage to property.
An 18-year-old Weston man was arrested early Saturday morning on drug charges. Deputies stopped a vehicle the man was a passenger in on US Hwy. 51 at County Rd. G. During the stop deputies located marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
A 73-year-old Wausau man was injured Saturday evening following a UTV crash in the Town of Harding. At 6:21 p.m. a cell call reported the crash on Forks Road. The man was transported to Aspirus Wausau Hospital for treatment of his non-life threatening injuries.
A 16-year-old Merrill youth was injured after a single vehicle crash early Sunday morning in the Town of Pine River. Just before 4 a.m. the crash was reported on State Rd. 64 at High Ridge Road. He was transported to Ascension Good Samaritan Health Center for treatment of non-life threatening injuries and cited for violating the absolute sobriety law.
A 29-year-old Irma man was arrested Sunday morning after deputies responded to a disturbance in the Town of Skanawan. The man came to the home uninvited and caused the disturbance. He was also charged with violating terms of his probation. A 43-year-old Wausau woman was arrested Sunday evening on warrant charges through Marathon and Brown counties. She was found at a home in the Town of Pine River. The woman was wanted on several criminal traffic violations including operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated with a minor passenger and hit and run.
A 21-year-old woman was arrested Sunday evening for violating terms of her probation. Deputies went to a motel to investigate a complaint of an unwanted subject and found the woman there. When it was learned she was violating terms of a no contact she was arrested on the probation violation charge.
A 50-year-old Wausau man was arrested Sunday evening on warrants through the Oneida County Sheriff. The man was stopped at State Rd. 64 at US Hwy. 51 for failing to stop for a stop sign. A check showed he was wanted by the Oneida County Sheriff for contempt of court.
The number of deer crashes went down slightly with 10 being reported this past week.
