Merrill athletes earn All-Conference honors

Many Merrill athletes earned All-Conference recognition for their performances this fall sports season.

Merrill football had 15 players receive All-Conference Team or honorable mentions. Jon Gruetzmacher (OL) and Zach Mootz (QB) received All-Conference First Team for offense and Riley Young (OL), Adam Detert (OL), Ben Tabor (WR) and Nevada Laabs (RB) received Second Team.
Noah Bolling (DL), Braeden Dorn (DL), Ben Tabor (DB) and Josiah Nohr (P) received All-Conference First Team for defense and Tad Pike (LB) and Cade Rejek (LB) received Second Team.
Honorable Mentions include Brody Zocher (OL), Trey Seubert (twice-TE & K), Nate Grefe (RB) and Isaac Meyer (DE/OLB).

Volleyball had five players earn All-Conference. Middle hitter Morgan Wardall and right side hitter Katie Zelinski received First Team and Libero Taylor Cichy received Second Team. Outside hitter Maddix Bonnell and defensive specialist Kelsie Belfiori received Honorable Mentions.

For soccer, Austin Zettler received All-Conference Second Team and Austin Burgener received an Honorable Mention.

For the tennis team, Katie Nelson received All-Conference Second Team in singles and Lea Beckman got an Honorable Mention in singles.

Dalie Thomas received All-Conference Second Team for cross country.
