Donald A. Schroeder died peacefully in his sleep the early morning hours of September 26, 2016 in his Madison Wisconsin Nursing home. His 82nd birthday was September 21st, 2016.
His parents, Arthur F. and Mabel Schroeder of Merrill, his former wife Nancy, and one grandson proceeded him in death. He leaves behind four children, Susie Feia (Duane) of Waukesha WI, Cindy (Duane) Paul of Laguna Niguel CA, Scott (Lark) Schroeder of Lawrenceville, GA, Steven Schroeder of Coon Rapids, MN, brother Gerald (Prue) Schroeder of St. Charles, IL and seven of eight grandchildren. A family memorial service was held October 11, 2016 in Monona at his church, The Monona Lutheran Church.
Don graduated from Merrill High School with the class of 1952 and played football all four years. He enjoyed seeing his friends at the Silver M reunions when he was able to travel. He went on and graduated from the University of Wisconsin in Madison.
