Charges filed Lincoln County Circuit Court

Gary P. Ver Kilen, 57 of Irma– was charged October 17 with Multiple Felony charges including 2 counts of Child Enticement and two counts of 1st Degree Sexual Assault-Sexual Contact with person under age 13.
According to court records, a Lincoln County deputy was advised of the alleged incidents on June 15. Two young females, ages 11 and 12, indicated the incidents had occurred in Mid-May in rural Lincoln County, during which
Ver Kilen reportedly made unwanted sexual contact with each of them during separate incidents.
Upon further investigation, investigators discovered a history of Ver Kilen making contact with juvenile females under the age of 18, dating back to 2013.

Lola J. Krahn, 30 of Tomahawk– was charged October 17 with Felony-Child Abuse-Intent to Cause Harm.
According to court records, a child abuse claim was filed by the Lincoln County Department of Social Services on October 14 with the Tomahawk Police Department. The report indicated a 13 year old male had been struck by Krahn, reportedly causing bruising with knuckle prints.
Upon further investigation, the victim advised the incident had occurred during a verbal altercation over a library card.
The altercation turned physical when Krahn allegedly struck the victim twice in the arm and shoulder area and again in the stomach. Krahn reportedly threatened to kill the victim during the altercation.
Krahn indicated she had indeed struck the male but “not full force.” Krahn indicated she was “goofing around” with the victim and wanted to “toughen him up” due to the male indicating he wanted to play football. Krahn later admitted being “beyond upset” during the altercation due to the male making excuses and lying.
Krahn reportedly admitted to to indirectly threatening to kill the victim, but advised she would never follow-through.

William N. Broome, 31 of Merrill– was charged October 20 with Misdemeanor charges of Disorderly Conduct and Criminal Damage to Property
According to court records, Broome was involved in an incident in the City of Merrill on September 6, during which he reportedly threw rock at a 13-year old female who was walking past his home and made hostile statements toward the female. Broome then allegedly threatened to kill the girl’s father upon his arrival. While officers were investigating the initial complaint, another party arrived in a vehicle and advised Broome had thrown at a rock at their vehicle earlier in the day, causing damage.

Norman L. Hanson, 50 of Rothschild– was charged October 19 with Felony charges of Possession of Methamphetamine; Possession of Drug Paraphernalia to Manufacture Methamphetamine; Bail Jumping and a Misdemeanor charge of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
According to court records, Hanson was involved in a traffic stop in the city of Merrill on October 18. During the ensuing investigation,Hanson was found to be in possession of .4 grams of Methamphetamine as well as several items of Methamphetamine-related paraphernalia including several glass pipes, plastic bags and a scale all containing white residue.

George E. Wood Jr. 18 of Merrill- was charged October 17 with Felony charges of Possession of Methamphetamine and Bail Jumping as well as a Misdemeanor charge of Bail Jumping.
According to court records, Wood was taken into custody on September 20 by Merrill officers for outstanding municipal warrants and was found to be in possession of a plastic bag containing white residue.
The substance later tested positive for Methamphetamine.
