Marlene Woellner

Marlene Woellner, age 83, of Merrill, passed away Sunday, July  3, 2016 at Pine crest Nursing Home.  She was born June 30, 1933 in Milwaukee to the late Raymond and Sophia (Johnson) Schwartzman. On October 25, 1952,  Marlene and Donald Woellner were united in marriage.

Marlene attended school at North Star School and Merrill Vocational School. Marlene worked at Weinbrenner Shoe until her marriage, she then stayed at home to raise her children, after that she then went on to work at Semco for 22 years.  In her free time she enjoyed traveling to Germany, the Black Hills, Las Vegas, the Dominican Republic, Texas, and Arizona.  She also liked crafts, cooking, spending time with her family, crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles and always loved to have a dog or cat in the house.  She also loved to watch the Green Bay Packers and the Milwaukee Brewers.

She is survived by her daughters: Donna(Gary) Dietrich, Linda(Robert) Schotz, and Patty(Glenn) McDonald all of Merrill; her sons: Steve(Mary) Woellner of Wausau, Keith(Kim) Woellner of Merrill, and Brian(fiancé Shannon Clausen) of Merrill; grandchildren: Kevin(Amy)Dietrich, Tina(Brian)Kulvete, Willow Woellner(Stacy Fox), Heather(Derek)Krzanowski, Maria(Ryan) Winters, Derek Woellner, Jason Schotz, Justin(Hope) Schotz, Kenneth(Ashley) Woellner, Kristine Woellner, Jessica Woellner(Eddie Carpenter), Angela Woellner, Noah Woellner, Jennifer(Matt) Jordan, and Mellissa(Brandon) Cromeans; great-grandchildren: Alysian Woellner, Sawyer Fox, Christopher, Kaitlynn, Aiden,  Austin, and  Bryce  Krzanowski, Brealyn Winters, Grayson and Ariya Schotz, Conner and Lucy Woellner, Brooklyn Newton, Brittney, Dakota, and Francesca Woellner, Savannah Carpenter, Videl Hinke, Alexis Fehr, McKenna and Ryan Jordan, and Bryland Cromeans; one sister: Joan Beyer of Merrill; brothers: Tom Schwartzman, Merrill, Don Schwartzman, Merrill, James Schwartzman, Merrill, Wally Schwartzman, Merrill, and Harry Schwartzman of Arizona;  many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald,  parents, Raymond and Sophia Schwartzman; a brother: Bobby Schwartzman; a grandson: Ryan Schotz; and granddaughters: Sarah Hinke , and  Karly Woellner

The family would like to thank Pine Crest Nursing home for the great care and love they gave to Marlene for the last 3 and a half years.

A Visitation will be held from 4-8 PM on Thursday, July 7, 2016 and again on Friday, July 8,  at 10-11AM at Waid Funeral Home.  The Service will be held  at 11 AM on Friday, July 8, with Pastor Dennis Creswell at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Merrill Memorial Park. Waid Funeral Home of Merrill is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be made at www.waidfuneral.com.
