Fatality in Sunday fishing accident at Bradley Dam

On June 26, 2016 at approximately 5:02 PM, the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a male party being pulled out of the water and CPR was
in progress.
Nokomis First Responders, Tomahawk EMS and deputies from the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene at the Bradley Dam in the Town of Bradley.
As a result of the ensuing investigation, it was discovered the male victim was fishing along the shoreline when he slipped and fell into the water. A friend who was on-scene was unable to reach the victim using a fishing net due to the current pulling the victim away from shore. The friend flagged down a passing vehicle and individuals from that vehicle swam out to into the water and were able to retrieve the victim, bringing him back to shore. Life saving measures were performed but were unsuccessful. The victim was not wearing a personal flotation device  and was pronounced dead at the scene. No one else was injured and circumstances do not appear suspicious. The victim’s name is not being released at this time.
