THS presents Fine Arts Awards

The Forensics and Drama Departments of Tomahawk High School held their annual Fine Arts Awards on Wednesday, May 25. Those recognized with major awards were:

•Speech Awards presented by coaches Nancy Herbison, Michele Balda and Shirley Derleth: Outstanding Freshman Speaker-Riley Clements; Oustanding Sophomore Speakers-Parker Johnson and Morgan Waye; Outstanding Junior Speaker-Rachel Wiseman; Oustanding Senior Speaker-Kim Shuman; Most Improved-Justin Skubal; G.M. Sheldon Award for Excellence in Speech-Caroline Kernan, Kim Shuman and Logan Skubal.

•Drama Awards presented by directors Michele Balda and Marcia Sattelberg: Outstanding Freshman Performer-Abby Norman; Outstanding Sophomore Performer-Grace Latzig; Outstanding Junior Performer- Madison Krueger-Brown; Outstanding Senior Performer-Drew VonScrader; Outstanding Performer for 2016-Caroline Kernan; “Godspell” Sparkplug Award-Grace Latzig; “Godspell” Directors Award-Kim Shuman and Rachel Wiseman; “Hairball” Outstanding Vignette-Grace Latzig, Jeffrey Wegener, Logan Skubal and Drew VonSchrader; “Frog Prince of Spamalot”-Outstanding Male Performance-Logan Skubal and Jeffrey Wegener; “Frog Prince of Spamalot”-Outstanding Female Performance-Grace Latzig; “Frog Prince of Spamalot”-Outstanding Crew Member-Justin Skubal.
