Mary V. Terrance

Mary V. Terrance, age 74 of Madison, went to heaven on April 18 under the care of Agrace Hospice after a short battle with cancer.

Mary was born in Chicago, Illinois on November 23, 1941.  She was married to Wayne F. Terrance on January 25, 1964 and they shared 36 years together. They had four children that were raised in Merrill during their school years.

She was a very sweet and caring person.  To know her was to lover her. Being a homemaker most of her life, her priority was taking care of family first.

Her last fifteen years she was a resident of Sherman Glen Apartments in Madison.  She enjoyed the many friends she made over the years and was fond of the many activities they participated in.  Amongst her favorites were running Bingo & the exercise class, hall sales of her fudge & brownies and having friends over for her spaghetti & lasagna dinners.

During her last weeks, Mary felt blessed with seeing most of the people that were an important part of her life.  She believed she was granted a gift to share her love for them and afforded the chance to say “good-bye” while letting everyone know she was at peace.  God brought her home to enjoy the peace that she brought to so many during her life.

She will be greatly missed by her sons, Frank (Jill) Terrance, Eden Prairie, MN and Dennis (Alyssa) Terrance, Green Bay;  daughter, Margie Mills, Madison; grandchildren, Matthew, Allison, Katie, Makayla, Tazia, Danielle and Willie; sister, Marge (Bob) Hakes; brothers, Frank (Sharon) Dinovo and Tom (Prospera) Dinovo; brother-in-law, Roger (Pat) Terrance; sister-in-law, Carol Raasch; two great grandchildren; and many nephews, nieces, cousins and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wayne (Terry) Terrance; son, James (Jim) Terrance; son-in-law, Willie Mills; great granddaughter, Danielle; brother-in-law, Leo (Mick) Terrance; and sister-in-law, Frances (Fran) Terrance.

Mary requested not to have a public funeral service.  The family will be having a small celebration of life this summer with immediate family and close friends.  Her resting place will be at St. Augustine Catholic Cemetery in the Town of Harrison.

Memorials and condolences can be sent to Dennis Terrance, 3027 West Mason St., Green Bay, WI 54313.
