Gloria E. Weber

Gloria E. Weber, age 75, of Merrill, passed away Monday, March 21, 2016 at her home under the care of Ministry Home Care Hospice. She was born August 15, 1940 in Milwaukee to the late Joseph and Lorraine (Zastrow) Graf. Gloria and Arthur Lewis Weber were united in marriage in Brookfield on June 6, 1959. He preceded her in death September 27, 2003.

Gloria attended and graduated from Milwaukee High School. She was a home maker. Over the years she helped with several family businesses. Gloria was an avid crafter in her younger years. She enjoyed playing Yahtzee, going to the casino with her husband, watching her son, Art, play horseshoes, family camping outings, going out to eat with her son, and visiting with family and friends. Gloria was an animal lover and enjoyed the company of her special kitty, Molly. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, Arthur. They had traveled to the Rockies on occasion and also had a place in Florida where she was a previous member of The Moose Club. Gloria had a wonderful talent of making everyone feel at home. She was a strong woman was very good at keeping everyone in line. Gloria was all around a great lady who had the biggest heart in the world and shared a special bond with her son, Art.

Survivors include her son: Arthur (girlfriend, Mary VanSlate) Weber, Merrill; daughter-in-law: Debbie Engel, Merrill; five grandchildren: Mandy, Nikki, Lori, Dale and John; three great-grandsons: Billy, Christian and Noah; brother: Dennis (Marcie) Kennedy, Rice Lake; kitty: Molly, and numerous nephews, nieces, aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Lorraine Graf, husband, Arthur Weber, son, John Weber, four brothers, Dick Graf, Dale Graf, Terry Graf and Joe Graf, mother-in-law, Mable Krueger, brother-in-law, John (Pat) Weber and sister-in-law, Dorothy Hutchinson.

A Celebration of Life for Gloria will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at Waid Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 10 AMuntil the time of service, also at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Merrill Memorial Park. Donations may be made in Gloria’s name to the Lincoln County Humane Society or the American Cancer Association.
