Chism named Youth Optimist of the Month

Cassandra Chism was nominated by Mr. Greg Eichelkraut, and chosen by the Optimists for the month of January. Mr. Eichelkraut writes that, “Cassandra is one of the nicest and most polite students I’ve had the pleasure of having in any of my classes. She has a ready smile for anyone.” He also states that she “carries a rigorous schedule both in and out of school yet exhibits a calm, cool, and steady demeanor that makes her an asset in any group. A strong work ethic developed on the Chism Ranch has carried over to her many activities as she maintains an excellent GPA.”
Her cumulative GPA is 4.0 while taking such classes as AP Psychology, AP American Government & Politics, AP Language and Composition, Algebra 2, Honors Chemistry, Honors Biology. Cassie also was enrolled in Indians In American History, Introduction to Public Speaking and English 102 at UWMC and Accounting at NTC. Cassie has been involved in National Honor Society, Student Council, Varsity Cheer and Dance Team, Debate Team, FFA, Varsity Track, Wisconsin High School Rodeo Association, National Barrel Horse Association and International Barrel Horse Association.
When not in school Cassie is a volunteer for Charity Walk-A-Thon and Alzheimer’s Fundraiser as well as a Therapeutic Riding Instructor.
Missouri Valley is the school that Cassie plans to attend to study Business. She is the daughter of Jeff and Sheryl Chism.
