Northern Lincoln County snowmobile trails to open Saturday

With two exceptions, Lincoln County’s state funded snowmobile trails designated as Zone 1 (the northern half of the county) on the 2016 Lincoln County Snowmobile Map will be open effective 8 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 16. The two exceptions are the segment of Corridor 17 west of Pankow’s Bar (crossing Hwy. 107 and the Wisconsin River) and Corridor 19 south of Hwy. 86 (Spirit Falls area).
Trails designated as winter ATV trails in these areas will not be open to ATV traffic until 8 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 23, and are closed to winter ATV use when the temperature is above 28 degrees.
All Zone 2 (southwestern Lincoln County) and Zone 3 (southeastern Lincoln County) state funded snowmobile and winter ATV trails will remain closed at this time.
Please stay on marked trails only and use caution when riding as some areas are rough and in early season conditions. Be aware of trail closed signs and respect private land.
