LEGO-MANIA week at the library

LEGO-MANIA Week will launch the use of the new library LEGO collection during the “no school” days of Dec. 28-31. Children age 4 and up, teens, and adults are invited to create and build in the 2nd floor storyhour room any time during open hours. Children under 9 should be accompanied by an adult or teen.
The start-up collection of LEGOs was funded by the Friends of T.B. Scott Library. This is one of several projects made possible by money raised at the Friends’ fall book sale.
LEGOs are engaging for those who like the structure of themed building challenges as well as those who thrive on open-ended creativity.
The library will accept donations of new or used classic LEGOs to add to the collection. LEGOs must be clean and must be the size for age 4 and up. Please do not bring your own LEGOs unless you wish to donate them to the library.
Beginning Jan. 3, Family LEGO Club has been scheduled for Sunday afternoons. Kids and families may drop in any time between 12 and 4 p.m.
For children under age 4, there are age-appropriate building sets and other toys available in the Youth Services Department every day during open hours.
