While investigating a separate complaint on the 600 block of Memorial Drive Wednesday evening, officers discovered drug paraphernalia inside a residence, which prompted the issuance and execution of a search warrant.
According to officer notes, while speaking with 30-year old Erin Kamrath in reference to a report of stolen medications and a child neglect matter, officers requested to visually inspect Kamrath’s apartment.
Kamrath reportedly consented at which point officers entered a bedroom and discovered a marijuana bong as well as medication and a bong used to consume methamphetamine, in plain view.
Kamrath reportedly advised officers the items did not belong to her, but belonged to 42-year old Kevin Lee Kaufman, who was asleep in her child’s bedroom.
When spoken to, Kaufman reportedly denied ownership at which point officers obtained and executed a search warrant.
As a result, officers discovered methamphetamine, as well as other items of paraphernalia.
Kamrath was subsequently taken into custody on felony charges of Maintaining a Drug Trafficking Place Possession of Methamphetamine and 2nd Offense-Possession of THC.
Kamrath was also charged with misdemeanor-Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
30-year old Erick Klade was also taken into custody for the same charges.
Kaufman was taken into custody on misdemeanor charges of Possession of THC, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Felony-Possession of Methamphetamine.
All three individuals were transported to the Lincoln County Jail and two children were also removed from the home for temporary placement.
