Florence A. Moyer

Florence A. Moyer, age 92, of Merrill, passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2015, at Bell Tower Residence, Merrill.
Florence was born April 18, 1923, in Merrill, daughter of the late John and Florence (Krueger) Kloke. She married Edward J. Moyer on November 10, 1951. He preceded her in death on February 5, 2011. Florence graduated from Merrill High School and then attended the University of Wisconsin – Madison. She came home to Merrill and took a job in the office at former Hanson Glove Corporation. Florence was a member of St. Stephen’s United Church of Christ, Merrill, where she volunteered with the Ladies Aid. Florence also volunteered at Ministry Good Samaritan Health Center. She enjoyed needlepoint and knitting, and in her younger years, she excelled at playing the cello.
Survivors include her daughter, Ann Andersen of Delavan, Wisconsin; her son, Gary Moyer of Merrill; three granddaughters, Kari Mikolyzk of Glendale, Emily (Ahchung) Ho of Muskego, and Megan Andersen of Portland, Oregon; one great-grandson, Andrew Gengler; one sister, Colleen (Pete) Caylor of Fairfax Station, Virginia; and one brother, John ‘Jack’ (Beth) Kloke of Hallieford, Virginia. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward J. Moyer; and her parents, John and Florence Kloke.
Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at the Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill. A private funeral service will be held. The Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill, is assisting the family with arrangements.
